Terms of Service

Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Maillifier, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Maillifier is a free, open-source Google Apps Script project that you install into your own Google account from GitHub. The installed script processes forwarded emails and generates AI-drafted replies using the Google Gemini API. This website provides information about the project and a free trial option.

3. Account Requirements

  • You must have a Google account with Gmail access
  • You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own Gemini API key
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Maillifier

4. How It Works

You install the Apps Script project into your own Google account by following the instructions on GitHub. Once installed, the script operates independently within your Google account under your own authorization. This website does not access your Google account or data.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Review AI outputs. AI-generated drafts may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content. You must review every draft before sending it to recipients.
  • Protect your API key. Your Gemini API key grants access to Google's AI services. Do not share it publicly.
  • Manage your whitelist. You are responsible for controlling which email addresses can access your agent.
  • Comply with applicable laws. You must use Maillifier in compliance with all applicable laws, including data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and anti-spam laws.
  • Obtain consent. If you process emails from third parties, ensure you have appropriate consent or legal basis to do so.

6. Intellectual Property

Maillifier is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the source code in accordance with that license. The Maillifier name and logo are trademarks and may not be used to misrepresent affiliation with the project.

7. Third-Party Services

Maillifier relies on third-party services that have their own terms:

  • Google Terms of Service
  • Google Gemini API Terms
  • Firebase Terms of Service

You are responsible for complying with the terms of these services.

8. Limitation of Liability

Maillifier is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use Maillifier
  • We are not liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or consequences of AI-generated content
  • We are not liable for any data loss, unauthorized access, or security incidents
  • We are not liable for any costs incurred from third-party API usage (Gemini API, etc.)

9. Disclaimer

AI-generated email drafts are suggestions only. They may contain factual errors, inappropriate tone, or incorrect information. Maillifier does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated content. Always review and edit drafts before sending.

10. Termination

You may stop using Maillifier at any time by:

  • Deleting the Apps Script project from your Google account
  • Revoking permissions at Google Account Permissions
  • Deleting associated documents (Knowledge Base, Logs)

We reserve the right to discontinue this website at any time. Installed scripts will continue to function independently in your account.
